The primary function is the operations and administration of Fluoroscopy in the EP/Cath Labs. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitoring cases, scrubbing cases, unit development projects, assist with supply and equipment management/stocking, and all other talents that are part of the full success of the EP/Cardiac Cath Team.
The Cardiac Cath Lab is a multi-disciplinary environment. We perform services for Infant to Geriatrics that include Coronary, Valve, Arrhythmia, Congenital, Transplant and Heart failure procedures. The team includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Hospital Administration and auxiliary support. Each discipline is required to perform duties and responsibilities of their specialty and support all other specialties on the team to provide high quality care, compliance, innovation and implementation.
Technical role: 2-role competency in Adult and Pediatric room (x-ray/circulate)
Advanced Competency: Additional Cardiovascular and Procedural skills: Monitor in adult and pediatric cases, surgical scrub in adult and pediatric cases, Hybrid OR RT(R), surgical scrub in valve/structural cases.
Post procedure supplies, equipment decontamination and processing
Supply and equipment maintenance/troubleshooting
Emergency On-call shifts for qualified procedure roles
Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program
Associate Degree in Applied Science or related field
2 years of EP/Cath lab experience
Current ARRT credential and OMBI license required
BLS, ACLS and PALS required
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
2 years surgical scrub experiencepreferred
