Job Description Summary: The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach in the evening MS Data Analytics program. Applicants must possess a MS or higher in computer science, mathematics, data science/analytics or a closely related field. Experience working in the field of analytics is required. Teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred. Specific subject areas include analytics, data visualization, and data warehousing. Knowledge of R, SQL, Tableau, and PowerBI is required.
Minimum Qualifications MS in computer science, mathematics, data science/analytics or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications MS or higher in computer science, mathematics, data science/analytics or a closely related field. Five or more years working in the field of analytics.
Essential Duties Candidate must be able to: Teach course(s) as assigned by the department chair. Teach classes for the mandated number of contact hours per week over a full semester and meet university expectations for final exams. Maintain current knowledge of the discipline. Present course material in a clear, organized manner. Explain course expectations clearly to students. Adhere to the requirements of the departments curriculum. Grade assigned papers, examinations, or projects in a timely manner so that students may benefit from the feedback. Meet administrative requirements and deadlines such as those for submitting course syllabi, conducting student course evaluations, and submitting final grades. Use technology as established and communicated by the University to carry out the administrative duties associated with teaching.
