Goucher College's Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Advancement will provide administrative functional support and project coordination to the Office of the Provost and Advancement. The Executive Assistant will communicate and interact with many constituencies including: internally, with senior level leadership of the college, including the president, vice presidents, deans, faculty, directors and their respective staffs; as well as externally, with Board of Trustees, alumnae/I, parents, donors and friends of the institution. The position provides executive support of the administrative functions so that the Provost and Vice President for Advancement may concentrate on executive level responsibilities. Ongoing understanding required of key academic and advancement operations.
Qualified candidates will possess an Associate's degree and at least three years relevant administrative experience. Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant administrative experience. Experience in a College setting is also preferred.
Candidates must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including ability to mail merge letters is required. Ability to successfully navigate the Internet and ability to use e-mail effectively. Experience with electronic calendars required, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook preferred. This position requires confidentiality and the ability to work effectively with all constituencies: students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees and visitors, and collaboratively with colleagues. Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to use tact and diplomacy at all times.
