Provide mental health triage and developmental/diagnostic assessments for Brody learners; maintain a thorough, in-depth working knowledge of the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria system.
Provide short-term, evidence-based mental health counseling to individual Brody learners and/or couples and/or groups.
Perform emergency and crisis intervention when indicated; appropriately refer learners for emergency treatment when applicable.
Maintain timely records of services provided to learners and use appropriate record keeping protocols.
Make referrals to and coordinate mental health care for learners who need to be linked to campus and/or community psychological and psychiatric service providers.
Develop and disseminate educational and training resources on mental and emotional health and wellness for learners, groups, and Academic Affairs units.
Provide consultation to Brody faculty and staff regarding learner mental health concerns in the medical school training environment.

Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work or a related mental health field.
At least 4 years of professional experience providing mental health counseling to college learners and/or adult learners in professional schools.
Knowledge and competency in culturally informed therapeutic approaches.
Experience with time-oriented, brief models of mental health counseling.
Crisis management skills, including experience with risk assessment and safety planning.
