Professor (Fixed-Term) Faculty Position. The Microbiome Core in the University of North Carolina at Chapel has an excellent opportunity for a Microbiologist to join the faculty in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The mission of the Microbiome Core is to provide the research community with the facilities and expertise to characterize complex microbial communities and microbial interactions. The Core has state of the art instrumentation and extensively trained personnel that provide support from experimental design to data analysis. The new faculty will join as Technical Director.
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have a background in microbial ecology, experience working with students in a laboratory setting, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a team-oriented personality are required.
