Responsible for the administration of the Institute's staff compensation programs, including compliance, job evaluation, new hire and salary offers, FLSA determination, development and maintenance of the job description database, and design and coordination of merit processes. Provides advice, training, and support to Wentworth community, as appropriate, in the development and application of compensation management principles, guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
Provides consultation to hiring managers to determine appropriate hiring rates within salary administration guidelines. This entails job description review, confirmation of experience/educational requirements, reviews of internal equity, and market comparisons.
Collaborates with managers in the analysis and review of job classification and reclassification requests; oversees the job classification process for both existing positions and newly created positions, performing job audits as appropriate. Liaisons with Finance for position control; maintains tracking system and consults with the Budget Office for reuse and data accuracy.
Develops, implements, and evaluates performance management policies that support improving the organizational alignment with performance management. Design performance management system plans that produce meaningful specific, measurable, aligned, realistic and time sensitive objectives and competencies. Communicates, trains, and provides guidance and tools to managers and employees to accomplish performance objectives. Tracks initiatives implementation progress and timelines using project or action planning methods.
Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or related field
Four or more years of HR experience
Working knowledge of human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems. Demonstrated ability in utilizing technology resources and computer applications
Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact with persons of diverse backgrounds and personalities. Ability to convey technical information and provide guidelines in a clear and professional manner, using diplomacy, tact, and discretion in all interactions.
Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and knowledge of functional area. Experience in interpreting, analyzing, advising on, and implementing policies, procedures, and regulations related to all facets of human resources administration.
