A Research Lab Assistant is available immediately in the Boiko Lab at the department of Medicine, Cedars Sinai. The lab studies mechanisms of solid tumor progression and immune evasion using variety of molecular biology, immunology and mouse tumor model approaches. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong sense of responsibility, open communication, and a desire to learn new skills and be part of a scientific team. The lab has a commitment to mentorship and career development. Opportunities to advance oral and written communication skills and to attend scientific seminars will be available.
Specifically the Research Lab Assistant I performs lab cleaning and maintenance duties including washing and sterilizing glassware, operates autoclaves and other specialized equipment, utilizing special detergents or other cleaning agents. Assists in ordering and maintenance of cleaning supplies inventory. Performs other lab cleaning and maintenance as required. May participate in research studies and perform basic lab techniques under guidance of the PI.
In addition the RLA I will be responsible for the following:
Assists in maintaining laboratory and laboratory equipment record keeping.
May report to Lab Supervisor or Research Associate III.
