The Knowledge Exchange (KX) Design Communications Specialist will join a team of communicators and research translators to develop engaging products for KX. The Communications Specialist will join the creative team in a growing organization that communicates research findings from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
Under the direction of the Knowledge Exchange (KX) Communications Manager, the graphic designer will use their expertise with ideation and design skills to create a graphic vision for the unit, while exploring new and engaging ways to transform complex research into accessible online stories, print, presentations, social media, and more. KX is looking for an entrepreneurial and inquisitive professional who is capable of taking static research reports and transforming them into compelling visuals for diverse audiences to understand complex data and scientific information. This position will work closely with the KX team, including integration specialists to define project scopes and requirements, communication specialists, and interns.
Expected project types include data visualizations, maps, charts, collateral, illustrations, UX, and infographics as stand-alone products, as well as compliments for live events, interviews, and other recorded videos.

Bachelor's degree in graphics or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 3-5 years of demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.

Target Salary: $20.19 - $22.12 Hourly
