Administers and supports day-to-day execution of Shared Service background check activities for Talent Acquisition Consultants, hiring managers/sponsors, candidates, students, non-employees and other key constituents, as needed, aligning with current university policy, laws, and regulations. Additional duties include, but may not be limited to, tracking and processing FBI, BCI, and online third-party requirements and adjudicating as appropriate, as well as managing candidate data in Workday. Partners with Legal and other offices across the university to resolve operational background check issues. Ensures that all background check KPIs/Service Level Commitments (SLCs) are met. Escalates more complex inquires and activities where appropriate.
Provides excellent customer service to candidates and colleges/units
Maintains knowledge of current background check regulations, laws, and policies; follows process flows as required and communicates changes to the background check laws from the legal department to Talent Acquisition Supervisor and peers
Coordinates, processes, and reviews background checks for candidates, students, and non-employees; shares final disposition and manages FCRA requirements
Prepares summary reports of conviction information and provides hiring recommendations
Evaluates and analyzes all complex background checks and aids candidates in resolving any inquiries or issues, escalating to Talent Acquisition Supervisor as needed
Receives credit card payment for webcheck background check services, maintains PCI compliance, bills college/unit for services
Partners with vendors to ensure appropriate service levels and troubleshoots vendor issues
Inquires about convictions and effectively communicates around sensitive information.
Serves as an ambassador of the university values
