The Department of Pediatrics’ Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician Educator at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to participate in the highly successful Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases Program. This is a multidisciplinary program which currently has two full time pediatric GI faculty, an APN, and dietician embedded in the Program, and works closely with faculty in the Allergy and Immunology Division. There are over 500 patients and families followed in the Program with an active clinical and basic research component as well. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in the care of pediatric patients with Eosinophilic GI disorders and qualify for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Evidence of productive clinical or basic research will strongly support any candidate for the position. Salary is commensurate with experience and will be competitive. Starting date is flexible.
The successful candidate will join an expanding group of vibrant and dedicated academic pediatric gastroenterologists ranked in the top 15 Divisions in the United States (https://www.luriechildrens.org/en/specialties-conditions/pediatric-gastroenterologist/). The section is currently composed of 24 MDs and 2 PhD faculty members, 11 nurse practitioners, and 6 fellows. The Section has over 17,000 annual patient visits and performs over 2,000 procedures with a busy endoscopy program.
