1. Must obtain informed consent from participants. 2. Counsels individuals, groups, or families to help them understand problems, define goals, and develop realistic action plans. 3. Collects information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests. 4. Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems. 5. Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. 6. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment. 7. Completes and maintains client-related paperwork, including federal and state mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress notes. 8. May perform other duties as assigned.
