The Department of Health Policy and Management within the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of cancer health services research projects including a recently funded 5-year project investigating the impact of rural hospital payment and delivery reform on geographic disparities in cancer surgery. The selected candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of related studies. Will develop relationships and maintain ongoing communication with internal team, external members, consultants and other stakeholders.
Duties include organizing and leading study meetings and conference calls; preparing, tracking, and overseeing project-related documentation; overseeing compliance, including data security, budget considerations, and required progress reports; completing institutional review board and data use agreement submissions; compiling background information for projects; researching and writing literature reviews and policy scans; supporting organization and analysis of study data; and participating in preparation of project deliverables including manuscripts, presentations and reports.
Experience working in a school of public health or similar setting, particularly with grant-funded projects. Familiarity with Departmental, School and University procedures regarding research integrity. Knowledge of public health, health services research, and health policy issues.
