The Grant and Technical Writer will research, recommend and coordinate grant submissions that forward the mission and strategic goals of the college. The position will provide technical and writing assistance throughout the grant process, ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations. The position will maintain an archive of college grant activities. This position will coordinate the college's grant program by providing information and training about grants processes, potential funders, and compliance issues with the campus community.
Bachelor's degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication.
Demonstrated experience researching, coordinating, writing, and/or monitoring grant proposals (both narratives and budgets).
Experience developing, revising, and monitoring grant budgets that range from hundreds to millions of dollars.
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Demonstrated editing skills.
Demonstrated time management skills, as it will be necessary to manage and prioritize several complex projects simultaneously while still ensuring that deadlines are met.
Demonstrated project and group facilitation.
Ability to work well under pressure within strict guidelines and time frames.
Proficient with computer technology, software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat), and online applications.
Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated technical writing experience.
Experience with complex federal grant processes.
Experience with grant compliance.
Previous higher education employment experience.
