We are Seeking a highly motivated and energetic technician to provide general research lab support.
Assist with in vitro and in vivo investigations of intestinal stem cell biology.
Perform cloning and generation of SAC/knock-in constructs, and viral vectors.
Perform in vivo mouse injection/dosing/manipulation, tissue harvesting for histology and primary organotypic culture.
Responsible for breeding/genotyping of transgenic mice.
Perform histological analysis/immunostaining, microscopy, RNA isolation, qPCR, next-generation sequencing library preparation, FACS, and western blotting.
Support overall maintenance of the lab including ordering supplies and maintenance of equipment.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training and experience
Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively with a research team in support of multiple projects
Thorough and precise record keeping
Strong communication skills
Strong enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and expertise
Experience in molecular biology, microscopy and rodent handling
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made
Participation in the medical surveillance program
Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
