Build and maintain relationships with external technology vendors and act as liaison to technology providers for researchers
Maintain relationship with internal purchasing, finance, shipping & receiving
Harvard University's Research Computing continues to evolve, expand services and support to its leading research faculty and their collaborators around the world. These services include maintaining over 100,000 cores of high-performance computing, cloud computing, virtual machines, storage, databases, instrumentation core facility workstations, and other development platforms as well as directly engaging with researchers through help requests, online chat, office hours, training, and in-depth consultations. Research Computing has numerous other successful collaborations, including building the MGHPCC (http://www.mghpcc.org/) in Holyoke, MA with leading partner universities. It is with these institutions that the newly NSF-funded NESE project was launched (https://nese.mghpcc.org) that will create a regional data science repository. We have also partnered with Boston University to launch NERC (https://nerc.mghpcc.org/). The Advanced Cyberinfrastructure, Research & Education and Facilitation project (https://aci-ref.org), has enabled us to develop a team of facilitators. Research Computing at Harvard has a track record of building partnerships to accelerate research and collaboration.

A motivated learner who is flexible/positive towards change
Strong project management experience with the ability to work across diverse teams to produce timely deliverables.
Comfortable driving development in an Agile process and with a version control system such as GitLab.
Multiple years of experience with automated configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
Experience with continuous monitoring practices with regards to Information Security.
Broad knowledgeable of Linux based server technology (cluster-computing, storage, database, virtualization, and networking).
