Goucher College's Mac Administrator is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of all Apple hardware and software on campus. This includes, but is not limited to, the purchasing recommendations and inventory management of Apple hardware, as well as the management of their day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of Apple servers, license management for software used on Apple computers, and the development, testing and deployment of software configurations for faculty and staff laptops and workstations as well as lab and public computers. As an integral member of the technology support team, the Mac Administrator will provide technical solutions, support, and training to fix problems or implement new technologies.
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma, be an Apple Certified Mac Technician and have a minimum of three years of providing support in an Apple environment. Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree, be a JAMF Pro Certified Technician and have at least six years of providing support in an Apple environment.
This position also requires intermediate computer skills, extensive knowledge of Apple troubleshooting, server management, knowledge of JAMF Pro and Apple School Manager.
