The Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics is actively building an integrated team practice model for delivering high quality medical care and service to the patients we serve, including transitional care of hospitalized patients. Our practice is recognized by the State of Oregon as a Tier 4 Patient Centered Primary Care Home and a Comprehensive Primary Care Plus clinic site.
This position will include interim care and a coverage clinic and is designed to increase after-hours and same day appointment access for practices patients as well as increase our overall patient access. Responsibilities include:
Precepting or urgent care in the Faculty Practice 4half days/week, with at least one and likely two evening clinics
Participate in clinical based teaching
Potential to attend on the general medicine wards
On average, 3 days per week of ultrasound educational activities and practice in varying clinical settings
Attend weekly image review & planning sessions with the program director or educational sonographer
Create, complete, and write up at least 1 IRB approved research project
Contribute to ultrasound teaching events for students and residents
Otherwise positively contribute to the OHSU ultrasound group
Successful completion of Internal Medicine Residency Program
Demonstrated ability to work with a team of health care providers and collaborate to achieve clinical care goals.
