This is a 9-month appointment, following the academic year appointment dates (end of August to end of May)
Job Duties (training provided): 40% - Preparation for Lab Courses Lab set-up and clean-up Develop instructional materials; re-design and update existing course materials Self preparation for in-lab teaching (reading, practicing techniques, running simulations, etc.) 45% - Assist in Lab Courses (contact time with students) In-lab teaching and support 5% - Lab and Supply Inventory/Maintenance Supply ordering and inventory management Oversee student workers 5% - Assist with exams, grading, and general course support Assist faculty with set-up, proctor, clean-up, and grading of examinations Course Canvas site and student accommodations management 5% - Other duties as assigned Additional duties include evaluation of learning system design and recommendation of changes for improvement, assisting in preparation and dissemination of teaching materials, coordination with student organizations, and assisting students with projects as needed.
Salary Range: $17.63 to $23.28

Required Qualifications: High school or equivalent graduate plus 2 years of college coursework in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of large animal handling experience.
Preferred Qualifications: AAS in related field of study Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) Large animal clinical experience Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Experience in teaching/mentoring Experience with Microsoft Office, Google platform, Excel, and Canvas
