Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Rutgers Center for Green Building. This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Rutgers Center for Green Building, with emphasis on both the Center's fieldwork-based research activities funded through federal grants and philanthropic organizations, and its public policy work, funded by NJ state agencies.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists with the coordination and administration of programs, projects, and/or processes and with the preparation and control of records, statistics, reports and documents.
Schedules appointments, arranges and coordinates logistics for events and meetings.
Processes various administrative documents and data including for purchase orders, subcontracts and other project expenditures.
Creates routine informational materials and maintains unit website, and annual report/brochure.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related fields or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in office administration and research support.
Good communication skills and computer literacy.
Experienced in website maintenance utilizing pre-existing programs/templates.
Conversant knowledge of green building and its practice.
Knowledge and experience with university-based IRB protocols and processes, Spanish fluency and translation skills.
Ability to read building architecture and site plans.
Understanding of/experience with university-based research administrative protocols and be knowledgeable and interested in green building practice and policy.
Human subject certification.
This position is part-time, 24 hrs per week
