The Department of Kinesiology in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College has the following course sections opening for the spring 2021 semester (January-May).
Individuals interested in this position must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in a related area. Excellence in college level student centered teaching and work experience related to the course content is preferred. Experience in online course instruction is also preferred, but not required. Applicants should indicate in their cover letter how their professional/educational experiences qualifies them to teach this course.

EXSC 410- Fitness Evaluation
Course Description: Comparison of fitness tests and techniques followed in schools, health/fitness clubs and cardiac rehabilitation programs. Development of fitness assessment proficiencies and certification requirements of various certifying boards. Special populations are covered. Practical fieldwork. Exposure to fitness computer software programs. Required: Physical activity may be utilized to facilitate learning experiences in this course. Participate at a level at which you are comfortable or consult the instructor.
This course will be in a face-to-face format, with appropriate social distancing restrictions. The course meets from 01/26/2021-05/06/2021 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30PM to 6:10PM.
KINE 317- Kinesiology
Course Description: A study of the kinetic and kinematic factors that affect human motion. An anatomic, mechanical and physiological approach to understanding human movement is taken.
This course meets in a blended format with remote content delivery on Mondays and face-to-face delivery on Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning on 1/27/2021 and continuing to 5/05/2021 from 1:40PM to 2:50PM.
The instructor teaching in this format will be expected to participate in pre-course preparations with our NC Instructional Designer prior to spring 2021 to prepare for the online teaching portion.
