The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research Tech Associate. This person will be involved in an exciting and impactful study seeking an effective vaccine for COVID-19.
Assist research coordinators in screening of potential patients for study participation.
Provide assistance with clinical workflow of research participants.
Manage research kit inventory at study sites, transport kits from centralized location to study sites.
Assist with entering participant data into study database in a timely manner, as needed.
Communicate with healthcare providers and other members of the study team to correct and prevent protocol errors.
Provide backup to support to other coordinators as needed.
Assist in onsite monitoring visits as needed.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent • Excellent attendance record and punctuality. • High standard of personal and professional conduct. • Driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Able to interact with a diverse population and provide exemplary customer service. • Must be an active team player with the ability to work independently. • Must have strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Experience in healthcare and/or clinical trials. • Understanding of basic medical terminology. • Familiarity Michigan Medicine Policies and Procedures
This is a one-year term limited position, with the possibility of extension. Extension will be based on the availability of funding and performance.
