The USCâs School of Cinematic Arts, John C. Hench Division of Animation and Digital Arts is seeking applicants for an open-rank part-time faculty position at the Adjunct Assistant, Associate or full Professor level,Â dependent upon experience to teach a 3D motion graphic design course.
Qualified candidates will have professional experience in 3D animation production including animation, cameras, lighting, rendering and simple modeling. Professional experience using Cinema 4D and Redshift rendering techniques are required. Applicants will need to demonstrate skills in 3d animation to assist students with their projects. A professional knowledge of visual design is required as it relates to motion graphics and pitch deck creation. Prior experience teaching workshops and mentoring artists is a plus. Minimum Education:Â Â BFA degree in animation or graphic design
5 years of professional experience working in 3D motion graphics.
At least 2 years experience as an animator/designer in a top motion graphics animation studio or in a high-level freelance capacity with top studios.
Professional experience using Cinema 4D or Maya software, particle systems and Redshift software for motion graphics animation.
A professional knowledge of visual design is required as it relates to motion graphics pitch deck creation.
Preferred Education: Â MFA degree in animation or graphic design with a specialization in motion graphics
8 years of professional experience working in 3D motion graphics with at least 4 years as an animator/designer in a top motion graphics animation studio or in a high-level freelance capacity with top studios.
Professional experience using Cinema 4D, Redshift rendering, particle systems and using motion capture data for motion graphics animation.
Demonstrated teaching experience, ideally at the college level, but inclusive of professional and community seminars, workshops, and mentorships.
