The mission of Health Sciences Development and Alumni Relations (HSDA) is to foster a culture of philanthropy and secure financial resources to advance UC Davis Health's mission of improving lives and transforming health. HSDA is a hybrid and complex department involving units from both Hospital and School of Medicine, and partners closely with all centralized units across both campuses. The University launched an 8 year, $2 billion, campaign of which HSDA's objective is to secure $250 million for UC Davis Health. HSDA also provides leadership, support, and coordination in generating and sustaining philanthropic funding to UC Davis Health System's teaching, research, clinical, and public service fundraising priorities.

Responsibilities The endowment program for the UC Davis Sacramento Campus consists of over 500 funds with a market value exceeding $300 million. Under the general supervision of Chief Administrative Officer, this position is responsible for the administration and management of the UC Davis Health endowment program. Overall responsibilities include the facilitation of endowment inquiries and requests specific to the Sacramento campus, interacting with key administrative staff on a regular and sustained basis, and providing comprehensive analysis and summary of meetings, requests, or issues to all levels of staff, adapting the message appropriately to different audiences as they relate to endowments. The position requires in depth knowledge of all UC endowment policies and procedures, act as an endowment resource for internal colleagues, and providing outstanding customer service to colleagues, donors, and departments.
Intermediate to advanced analytical skills required to prepare endowment statistical reports to management and Sr. leadership.
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
Intermediate to advanced Excel experience using pivot tables, v-lookup, conditioning formats, macros, etc.
Ability to develop, create, and present endowment related materials to medium to large audiences annually
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Ability to demonstrate high level of customer service.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of colleagues across both campuses.
Organizational skills to determine priorities, and escalating requests as appropriate to supervisor.
Interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility to work effectively with management, staff, and cross-organization departments.
Ability to effectively manage deliverables in an environment of changing priorities, conflicting demands, and highly fluid organizational structures.
Ability to convey a positive attitude with all business contacts involving University departments and various units.
Demonstrated experience working in a diverse culture and appreciation for the value of diversity.

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Development experience in higher education preferably academic health care.
Experience using a central campus donor and prospect-tracking database.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience using a donor and prospect-tracking databases including Advance, GREAT, Michelangelo, Reeher, and Fundriver, as well as all University policies related to endowment creation and administration.
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
