Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Department of Genetics and Development seeks to hire successful candidate for the position of Staff Associate. The position will support all technical activities in Columbia Stem Cell Initiative (CSCI) Flow Cytometry Core Facility, a shared resource that provides research groups across all Columbia University campuses access to high-end flow cytometry services and instrumentation as well as supporting technology. The Staff Associate will work with the Director of Operations with limited supervision to ensure that core facility operation is maintained at an extremely high level of quality and consistency to ensure a high-level of experimental success and robustness. The Staff Associate will be an integral part of research activities of the many research groups utilizing core services, which includes experimental design, running experiments on the flow cytometers, and data analysis and will also be closely involved with the integration of new technology into the core facility's portfolio of services.
