The position will provide leadership and guidance to the professional staff implementing targeted outreach and recruitment initiatives, specializing on the recruitment of high academically performing students; oversee & manage day-to-day operations positively influencing the recruitment of high caliber recruits; drive desired outcomes; ensure appropriate follow-up; maintain records & reporting related to recruitment, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, etc. Provide guidance and support for prospective students and families seeking to become part of the UTA family.
Develop and implement targeted outreach and recruitment initiatives for recruitment team, leveraging the university’s footprint and resources to build an incoming class of freshmen and transfer high caliber students. Work closely with the Associate Director, Freshman Recruitment and Director of Undergraduate Recruitment in the identification, development, and implementation of strategic outreach and recruitment initiatives designed to reach desired outcomes. Communicate effectively with all pertinent stakeholders. Provide outstanding customer service and assist students/families throughout the entire application/enrollment process. Coordinate individually, student by student, a personalized communication and follow-up plan, building a relationship with the student and family as a result. Actively participate and engage in outreach, recruitment, and other engagement programming that drive desired and measurable outcomes. Develop, maintain, and provide updates & reports in a timely manner. Perform work in ways that contribute to the university's successful achievement of enrollment goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of experience in higher education, community outreach, and/or recruitment working with students representing diverse communities or the equivalent experience.
Bilingual – English & Spanish. Cross-cultural & multi-generational competencies. Performance & Results Driven. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish across multiple platforms. Self-starter & Team Player. Data-driven, results- oriented. Assess, Engage, & empower staff and students to maximum performance and self-efficacy. Computer literate. Adaptable.
