An experienced Certified Medical Assistant needed for busy, rapidly growing Dermatology office. We are looking for a motivated, reliable person who can go above and beyond with our patients. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting with procedures, medical documentation, and all aspects of medical back office duties. Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist patient to exam room.
Screen patient prior to doctor’s exam and document in EPIC.
Prepare for patient procedures.
Effectively explain processes to patient.
Maintain and operate equipment accordingly to safety and quality control regulations.
Maintain inventory and supply ordering.
Help monitor clinic flow.
Stock exam rooms.
High School Diploma/GED. High School diploma or GED required.
Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant (e.g. CMA, AAMA, RMA, AMT, and NAHP) required. If not currently certified/registered, must become certified/registered within 90 days of date of hire.
Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required. Must maintain MA and CPR certification/registration during duration of employment in this position.
Note: In order to be eligible for certification/registration, successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or five or more years of primary medical care medical assistant experience is required.
Experience as a CMA, preferably in dermatology.
Sitting, standing and walking for extended period. Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s). Ability to move standard equipment through a hospital or clinical environment.

This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
