The INSPIRE Lab at OHSU has a position for an energetic and motivated ResearchAssistant 1. This position will support federally funded studies focused on early influences on infant brain development and mental health. These studies focus on parental psychological stress and mental health during pregnancy and postpartum, and infant brain and behavioral development.
Specific tasks will include:
Conducting study visits.
Obtaining biological samples from participants, including blood draws and urine collection and managing remote sample collection
Conducting MRI scans with infants.
Recruitment of participants.
Collaborating and communicating as part of a team.
Bachelor's Degree; OR Associate's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience
Bachelors or Associate's Degree in health related discipline
Experience interacting with research participants in clinical studies
Extensive experience working with or caring for infants and young children
Experience collecting biological samples for clinical care or research studies
Experience collecting MRI data
Training and skills in phlebotomy and collecting and processing biological samples
Training in conducting MRI scans with infants
Training in compliance with legal and ethical standards for Human Subjects research
Certification for completion of phlebotomy training
Completion of neonatal resuscitation training
