Develop relationships with and advise prospective students via phone, email, and virtual and in-person meetings throughout the application process. Facilitate personal connections between students, alumni, and prospective students. Continually improve processes associated with these activities to enhance prospective student satisfaction.
Recruit qualified prospects into the applicant pool through Booth hosted events including, but not limited to, information sessions, lunch and learns, networking events and dinners/receptions across North America and virtually. Represent Booth at MBA Fairs and Forums and continue engagement with prospects from these events. Take ownership of any special recruitment events as needed.
Own and execute admissions event strategy and schedule events in Chicago and across North America and virtually. Continually improve admissions events utilizing Slate data, market data, and feedback from the team.
Oversees all admissions event coordination. Manages the budget for events; tracks expenses and communicates current and projected status as necessary.
Leads strategy and tactics to engage and expand current students and alumni who participate in admissions events including ownership of the Student Ambassador program.
Present at information sessions and other events including, but not limited to virtual events, lunch and learns, corporate visits and dinners/receptions across North America.
Serve as a key member in all aspects of the application review process including evaluating applications, maintaining applicant pools, formulating recommendations on suitability of applicants, releasing decisions and interviewing candidates as needed.
Execute recruiting and yield events and contribute to new ideas, best practices and efforts to attract and yield top candidates to the program.
Utilize data and reports to identify trends and identify improvement opportunities. Benchmark Chicago Booth programs and events against similar competitors and make recommendations on ways to enhance Chicago Boothâ™s programming and outreach.
Collaborate with the full and part-time admissions team to support important initiatives and challenges that impact all MBA Programs.Â Â
Expands outreach messaging via alumni clubs and special events and/or reunions. Maintains updated alumni contact records and cultivates new contacts in appropriate industries. Manages portfolio of prospective students that require special handling.
Manages regional event programming such as receptions and career trek field trips for students. Works independently to expand outreach to employers in the region.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum four years of related experience in sales, admissions, or higher education.
Exceptional communications skills, professional demeanor, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach to the job.
Manage a large book of business including maintaining and developing relationships with prospective students.
Demonstrable success at meeting targets.
Consistently meet deadlines, to problem solve, to exercise good judgment, and to work under pressure during seasonal high volume.
Engage with diverse constituent base (i.e., prospective and current students and alumni).
Superior organizational skills.
Identify priorities, multi-task, and consistently meet deadlines.
Proven ability to manage internal working relationships, interact, and communicate with discretion, clarity, tact, and courtesy.
Strong public speaking skills required including presenting to large groups.
Manage CRM systems, such as Slate.
Able and willing to work evenings, and Saturdays, including overnight travel.
9:30 a.m. â“ 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as the regular schedule.
Two-three late night weeknight events per month to cover admissions events.
Three-four Saturdays per quarter to cover admissions events.
