The Department of Management and Global Business School, Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick invites applications for Part Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the undergraduate and MBA programs for the 2021 Winter Session. The Winter Session begins on December 22, 2020 and ends on January 15, 2021, with a break in class meetings from December 25 to January 3.
Applicants are sought to teach in Strategy, International Business, Ethics, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and other management classes.
Successful applicants are expected to attend orientation, prepare and submit course syllabi, provide timely student feedback, respond to student emails, and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines.
All courses for the 2021 Winter Session will be delivered in online format. Most courses will be offered in synchronous online mode.
The schedule for online class meetings may require instruction during day or evenings on weekdays and/or weekends. Students may be registered in New Brunswick or Newark.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduate degree (MBA or doctorate preferred), OR Bachelor’s degree plus exceptional professional reputation or accomplishment, OR Bachelor’s degree plus professional certificate in area of instruction or related area
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to teach in a university setting is highly desirable. Experience with online or distance learning is also highly desirable, both in synchronous and asynchronous mode.
The applicant will be required to have sufficient hardware (laptop or equivalent, good quality audio and video camera) as well as good quality internet access in order to support online instruction.
