Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:45 pm
Job Summary: The Manager of Communications is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic communications/public relations/marketing/advertising campaign for the School of Law. This includes the analysis of existing communications efforts and implementing changes when needed. Responsible for effective and proactive media relations as well as the production (writing, editing, and designing) of several publications each year.
Required Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or higher in Liberal Arts, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or Advertising and three (3) years of experience in journalism, public relations, marketing, or communications.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent writing skills; good verbal communicator; demonstrated management experience; strong organizational and computer skills; ability to relate well to a diverse group of people including vendors, other university employees, alumni; ability to work some nights and weekends.
