We are seeking a Coordinator of the GEAR-UP Program who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the PCCC GEAR-UP Program.
This is a full-time, administrative position.
Examples of Duties
Oversee and manage the project database
Maintain and update student files
Serve as liaison with the target school personnel and community organizations
Collect, analyze and summarize evaluation data each quarter
Participate in planning, developing and implementing academic year and summer program activities
Plan, develop, and work with staff to implementing academic year and summer program activities
Visit target schools on a regular basis to confer with staff and review participant schedules/files
Maintain and document continuous contact with school guidance counselors
Train the mentors
Participate in planning and scheduling all approved academic and career information seminars and workshops
Develop flyers, permission slips, medical information forms, and evaluation forms for all schedules program activities
Supervise all components of academic-year and summer program activities
Assist in generating reports required by the U.S. Department of Education; and
Identify additional funding to enhance the GEAR UP Program
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Education and five years of experience in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a comprehensive college readiness program for a risk, disadvantaged student populations
Outstanding administrative, organizational, leadership, and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively
