Job Description Summary The Supervisor, Weekend Building and Customer Services is primarily responsible for joint supervision of 1st shift custodial staff and sole supervision of weekend staff (Custodial, Trades, and Grounds). The position requires coordinating services across all weekend shifts (including Trades, Grounds). The Supervisor responds directly to any campus emergencies; coordinating with the Facilities Manager on Call to resolve emergency issues.
Weekend supervision of all Facilities services - Custodial, Trades, & Grounds. Manage custodial staff every weekend, minor holidays, and 3 weekdays. (11 FTE's).
Monitor and ensure compliance with department policies and procedures (e.g. cleaning procedures, waste/recycling management, safety, security, uniforms, PPE, chemical & equipment usage, etc.).
Input labor into INFOR (CMMS) work order system, reconciling with Kronos payroll data. Review and edit Kronos payroll.
Train staff in cleaning, waste/recycling, equipment use, and maintenance, safety, etc.
Perform regular building inspections, document cleaning quality and staff performance. Address and escalate performance issues, as appropriate.
Identify necessary building repairs.
Create work orders.
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
A minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory/management experience in custodial operations.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students and families, staff, faculty, administrators, and the public.
Ability to multi-task.
Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted United States driver's license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley's insurance carrier.
Some experience with computer hardware/software.
Supervisory experience in a union environment is preferred.
Trades and/or maintenance experience preferred.
