Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time Administrative Assistant for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description:
The temporary Adminstrative Assistant position coordinates program logistics including individual staff calendars, room scheduling, scheduling guest speakers & arranging for routine materials, technology, refreshments, and transportation. Answers questions and provides information via phone, e-mail, mail, in person, etc. Processes accounts payables &/or receivables; verifies income &/or expense; resolves discrepancies & over/under budget problems, etc. Responsible for ordering office supplies and materials for programs, as well as managing copier and water service, while also maintaining office cleanliness and organization. May coordinate work for one work-study student and edit and maintain the NSFP website. Additionally, the temporary Adminstrative Assistant is required to/responsible for….
A High school diploma and 2 years of administrative experience;
NU Financials is preferred;
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects under pressure;
Excellent communication and computer skills;
Strong in-person and phone customer service skills;
Ability to work in a team environment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and students; and ability/willingness to work with and help others.
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
