This position provides semi-routine, complex administrative support to the Academic Affairs Division Office of Planning, Evaluation and Institutional Research (OPEIR). The Administrative Specialist is responsible for: maintaining and reconciling all budgets; arranging travel; managing purchasing, inventory, contracts, and payroll processing; and scheduling workshops and training sessions. Additionally the Administrative Specialist will assist with Testing Center functions, provide data entry support; prepare or edit reports to support department projects; and facilitate maintenance of the OPEIR web pages. The position provides front line reception support for OPEIR as well as contributes to projects within Academic Affairs.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and maintain a professional demeanor to promote a professional front office environment
Excellent computer skills in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with a variety of constituents, including work team and clients
Survey software knowledge and skills

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; minimum of 2-3 years office experience
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree; experience in the use of SAP (IRIS) and BANNER
