Will develop novel biomaterials using engineering and chemistry for regenerative medicine in the Department of Surgery. Work will focus on fabrication of novel 3D architectures made of nanofibrous materials with incorporation of bioactive materials and stem cells for musculoskeletal tissue engineering in vitro and in vivo. Assists in the analysis of samples and in the evaluation of the data. Prepares papers and grant proposals relating to this work and may present at conferences. The individual will work with other interdisciplinary team members to perform multifunctional studies.
PhD in Biomaterials/ Regenerative Medicine/Drug Delivery
Experiences with animal surgery and histology would be an added advantage.
