The Manager oversees the Blood Bank operation of both campuses (Keck & Norris).Â As Manager, the individual is responsible for technical and staff supervision, administrative management of all areas of Blood Bank and for assuring proficiency of staff, accurate instrument operation, performance of maintenance and troubleshooting measures, quality control, quality assurance and proficiency testing.Â The Manger is responsible for assisting in monitoring and controlling the Blood Bank budget, review and approve Blood Bank invoices, employee relationships, customer service, performance improvement, and maintaining intra and interdepartmental communication.Â The Manager is also responsible for organizing the work schedule, and monitoring attendance and punctuality.Â Â Â Â Â
Minimum Education:â¢A BS or BA degree in a related field. â¢Prior senior or supervisory experience to include: specialized and complex analysis, computer experience, quality control, calibration, QC evaluation, inventory control, preventative maintenance, quality improvement, work scheduling, PI planning, and budgeting.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢5 yearsâ experience in an Acute Care Facility setting with 3-4 years in a senior or supervising capacity preferred.Required License/Certification:â¢Valid Clinical Lab Scientist license from the State of California. ASCP certification preferred but not required. â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
