Enabling Technologies of Kentuckiana (enTECH) is a division of the Auerbach School of Occupational Therapy (ASOT). The enTECH Speech-Language Pathologist collaborates with staff and community members to ensure efficient program operations through procedure oversight, scheduling, coordination, and outreach. The successful candidate must have a mature and professional demeanor to provide efficiency of day-to-day operations for the unit. The position reports to Director of Operations Joe McCombs and Administrator/ Clinical Supervisor Dr. Cindee Quake-Rapp.
This position is responsible for the evaluation of and the implementation of a treatment program for all referred patients. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the development and the upgrading of treatment programs and protocols. The Speech Pathologist also contributes to the development of departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluations, assessments of clients who require Speech Therapy services within the clinic, and the community.
Evaluates physician order and develop a plan of care following the patient’s needs.
Plan rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing and / or cognitive problems.
Administers, scores, and interprets specialized speech tests.
nstructs clients, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and to practice new skills.
Instructs and educates clients, families, and caregivers of diet recommendations and modifications for safe swallowing techniques.
Completes required documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains professional growth and development, by participating in continuing education programs, and other approved learning experiences.
Maintains confidentiality of all medical records, facility, and rehab related information.
Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures daily.
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Experience in a pediatric medical setting.
Licensed in the State of Kentucky
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Must be able to perform the following requirements for this position:
