Reporting to the Dean of Allied Health & Nursing, the instructor is responsible to apply their expertise to develop and deliver courses/programs so the students learn and reach their academic goals. The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for the courses/program, and in support of the general development of students and the college.
- AD and Practical Nursing lecture, lab and clinical instruction during day/evening, weekday/weekend - Curriculum and teaching materials development - Assessment activities at the instructor, course, department, and institutional level - Participation in program, division and college initiatives through committee work and inter-departmental collaboration
- Master’s degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty - Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level. One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years – Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current clinical experience in an acute care hospital - Teaching experience
