The Director provides leadership and vision in matters related to the design and administration of student financial aid programs and policies, and ensures that fiscal risks relative to the management of student aid are contained and minimized. Collaborates and consults with members of the enrollment management team in order to meet the enrollment goals of the campus. Organizes the provision of services, the maintenance of records and the preparation of reports, and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. Administers the department budget and supervises staff. This position is part of the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs leadership team, reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
Bachelor's degree and five years of progressive responsibility and experience in higher education and financial aid administration.
Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations. Knowledge and proficient use of computer software and databases. PeopleSoft experience. Positive history of fiscal management, including compliance and internal and external audits. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Strong organizational and management skills. Proven ability to facilitate a team-oriented environment. Orientation toward and commitment to support service quality. Excellent ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals. Ability to work under pressure.
Master's degree. Supervisory experience. Experience in an enrollment management environment.
Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to lift 10 pounds. This is a sedentary position including remaining stationary for extended periods.
