Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Responsibilities Lab Research (60%) - Develop and implement Research Studies - Develop and implement novel protocols for data collection and analysis - Execute complex multi-step novel and standard experiments using a strong foundation of theoretical based knowledge - Provide mentorship and support to junior staff in bench research
Follow up investigation and analysis (20%) - Execute additional multi-step experiments when further investigation is warranted, drawing upon existing expertise, while also seeking out innovative solutions.
Data Analysis and Reporting (20%) - Analyze complex data sets and research findings - Draft manuscripts for future publication - Periodically conduct literature reviews - Prepare summaries, technical reports, and research proposals

Required Qualifications - Master’s Degree and 2 years of biomedical research experience or BA/BS plus at least four years of demonstrated experience in biomedical research - Experience designing research studies - Previous experience independently conducting complex multi-step experiments in a research laboratory using both existing and novel protocols - Ability to develop and implement novel data collection protocols - Excellent communication skills - Excellent organizational skills, particularly with large and complex data sets
