PROGRAM COORDINATOR, CARE (COORDINATION, ASSISTANCE, RESPONSE, AND EDUCATION) TEAM , Student Support Services , to assist with support coordination for the CARE Team and Student Support and Wellbeing. Will assist a team that works in close collaboration with residential life staff, undergraduate and graduate student support deans, mental health clinicians, health care providers, and other support resources on and off campus; help facilitate wellbeing check; support the deans with management of student cases through a database system, including opening, following through on, and closing of cases; help support collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that students are receiving timely attention and follow up; and help students who are transitioning to/from MIT due to hospitalizations, leaves, and returns.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree in a related field; one year of experience in higher education; an interest in student support/wellbeing; knowledge of the general needs of college students, college student health/mental health, and risk factors for college student populations; ability to advise students and work collaboratively with faculty, administrators and students; a desire to work with a diverse population and an interest in human services and supporting individuals in distress; strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent judgment and discretion with confidential information; initiative; flexibility; ability to work in a high energy, dynamic environment; and proficiency with spreadsheet, database, and web software and generally navigating technology.
