Rutgers School of Nursing invites applications for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to serve as Specialty Director for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program, or a dually certified WHNP/Nurse-Midwife to serve as Program Director for the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Midwifery Programs. This is a hybrid faculty and administrative leadership position.
The successful candidate will lead the women's health program and, if applicable, the dual women' health and nurse-midwifery program. We are looking for an inspirational and innovative leader who will:
Work collaboratively with colleagues from nursing and other disciplines,
Recruit students and faculty to the program(s), (primarily in the graduate division although the candidate may teach across programs),
Guide and mentor students during their course of study and in their DNP projects,
Assist with annual reports and other accreditation requirements,
Maintain clinical practice competence,
Be actively involved in professional organizations,
Maintain scholarship in their field, and actively participate in School of Nursing faculty governance and other committees.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Doctoral degree (e.g., DNP or PhD) required
Certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Current clinical experience in Women's Health or Maternal Health
Expertise and commitment to excellence in nursing/midwifery education
Current licensure and/or eligibility for RN and APN licensure in New Jersey
Dual certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse-Midwife
Current licensure and/or eligibility for RN and APN/NM licensure in New Jersey
Current clinical experience in Women's Health/Maternal Health and Nurse Midwifery
Academic leadership experience
Preference will be provided to candidates who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations, grant funding) and active participation in community and/or professional organizations
