The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), School of Medicine, Institute of Human Virology (IHV) is currently recruiting for a Program Specialist (Knowledge Management Specialist) to support the Center.
This primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Associate Director of Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity (CIHEB) in developing, planning, implementing and managing the knowledge management system to organize, merge, and synthesize knowledge in order to foster efficiency through reuse and/or facilitate creativity and innovation for the Population-Based HIV Impact Assessment (PHIA). This position is expected to function independently, exercise discretion, and contributes to assignments and projects that require significant evaluation, originality, and ingenuity.
15% International travel required.

Capture, organize, document and share CIHEB PHIA knowledge.
Maintain and disseminate master multi country PHIA timeline
Upload materials to knowledge management system. Identify materials on that system that are out-of-date and replace as possible/necessary.
Curate or assist in administering sections of internal knowledge management systems
Serves as a member of CIHEB Knowledge Management task team and participates in regular meetings.
Supports the creation of guidelines, create a platform for all CIHEB staff to explain the purpose and use of our frequently used knowledge sharing platforms.
Serve as a contact for questions about program management and knowledge sharing platforms.
Regularly assists with planning and facilitating webinars on various technical topics.
Development effective and efficient tools for standardized materials
Perform other administrative duties having a significant impact on the overall goals of program.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: Two (2) years administrative or program coordination experience.
Supervisory Experience: N/A
Other: Related experience to program may be substituted for education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to prepare financial statements and budgets.
MS office - high proficiency
Problem solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively
