This position is in the Department of Neurology. The position is located at Mid Campus Center. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Position provides direct supervision of purchasing staff functions such as check requests, travel advances/reports, purchase orders/blanket orders and ID’s.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with section Coordinators/Principle Investigators with purchasing on departmental fund.� Manages all ID’s for proper billing from CCS.
Processes Pro-card charges requested from Neurology sections that are not processed through Market Place.
Prepares monthly Accounts Payable transaction reports for Mgr. Business Operations and/or develops reports that is requested by management.
Assists purchasing staff with any questions regarding funding and the proper process on transaction.
Maintains and processes all blanket orders for department and research vendors for best prices and services.
Assist Mgr. Business Operations with record retention and compliance for all functions under Accounts Payable.
High School diploma or equivalent High School certification, with some college-level accounting coursework.
Five years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or a related field and one - three years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping may substitute.
Working knowledge of general accounting equipment, computer programs and systems with communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $24.47 per hour.
