The University of Kentucky, College of Social Work, which offers the BASW, MSW and PhD degrees, invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor, 9-month faculty position, effective August 16, 2021.
The terms of appointment and reappointment for this position are governed by the University of Kentucky Administrative Regulations (re: AR 2:1)
Required qualifications include a master's degree in social work and an earned doctorate in social work or a related discipline. Practice experience is preferred. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain a dynamic, externally funded research program and strong record of high-impact scholarship (e.g., publications, presentations, etc.). In addition, successful candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates with research/teaching interests and expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: clinical practice; behavioral health; substance use disorder(s); child welfare; interpersonal violence; and/or health disparities. Experience teaching in a distance learning/web-based format is preferred.
Applicants at the assistant professor rank should demonstrate a strong potential for securing external funding and producing high-quality scholarship.
