Essential Job Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Prepare invoices, payments, independent contractor forms, vendor forms, reimbursement vouchers, travel forms and other forms as required in ConnectCarolina. Follow-up with external organizations and individuals to revise submitted paperwork. Use appropriate budget codes and chartfields. Act as a liaison between the department’s accounting office, UNC accounting and partnering institutes to ensure compliance and successful completion. Provide general assistance to partnering institutes; project, mail and committee support. Provide support for special events, lecture series & conferences sponsored by partnering institutes. Provide administrative support for partnering institutes: calendaring, zoom conference scheduling & meeting preparation.
Prior experience working in ConnectCarolina; preferably in the accounting systems Office Technology: Ability to utilize office equipment, software and systems to meet administrative needs of the school. Software and operating system knowledge must remain up-to-date to meet organizational needs. Information/Records Administration: Ability to compile, assimilate and organize printed and electronic information. Apply in-depth knowledge of a variety of complex processes and procedures adhering to school and university regulations. Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey information and procedures to faculty members for whom services are provided. Ability to communicate effectively with correct grammar and terminology with other internal school units and university units is vital. Problem Solving: Ability to identify and understand unique problems and use effective approaches for choosing course of action/developing appropriate solutions. Work independently with faculty members to resolve non-standard problems using operating procedures and established precedents. Coordinates with other school work units to facilitate solutions to problems. Program Knowledge: Understanding of school policies and procedures and ability to apply this knowledge to job performance. Knowledge of organizational structure of the school. Customer Service: Must demonstrate exceptional customer services skills for use in daily contact with administration, faculty, and staff. Teamwork: Must function as participating member of administrative support team. Cross coverage of duties with similar position is required.
