The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Technician B (Part-time) position to conduct translational research on new treatments for inherited forms of retinal degenerations.
Assist in conducting experiments in mouse models of retinal disease
Provide assistance with performing histological manipulations with retinal sections
Perform ELISA tests
Conduct PCR genotyping
Assist in maintaining cell cultures lines and run established in vitro assays.
BS in chemistry, biology,physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
General experience with mouse models
Experience with ophthalmic animal models is desired
Experience in molecular biology, general biochemistry methods and cell culturing techniques is desired.
