Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Under limited supervision, job manages community collaboration core’s consults, protocols and/or clinical trials through collaboration with Pl for administrative and scientific protocol development and oversight of implementation for one or more complex study(s), including CCC projects supporting COVID-19 research teams.
Under limited supervision job manages core projects based around translational research and community collaboration under the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. Will have direct day-to-day management of implementation for one or more complex multi-stakeholder initiatives and projects being operated out of the Community Collaboration Core (CCC) of the Institute for Clinical & Translational Research. Will work under and report directly to Associate Director for Stakeholder Engagement of The Institute for Clinical & Translational (ICTR) Research.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, innovative thinker and have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be teamwork oriented and have an attention to detail. Utilize advanced scientific knowledge, social media data analytics and experience toward specialized scientific research interests of Clinical Research projects in the Community Collaboration Core at ICTR.
Comprehensive knowledge of community engaged research is required.
Establish and conduct data analytics in social media platforms and websites to evaluate messaging impact to initiatives under CCC.
Use advanced knowledge base to formulate and perform research data analytical methods.
Ability to apply advanced analytical skills to manage the administrative and scientific implementation of projects with multiple stakeholders, and to identify and resolve situations requiring special attention.
Utilizing this knowledge, will ensure adherence to research protocols, operating procedures, and all associated internal/external regulations.
Ability to develop and monitor metrics for training curriculum and materials for CCC activities and consults.
Utilizing in-depth knowledge will manage the development of training, communication and evaluation tools for community engagement, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders and varying projects.
Responsible for preparing monthly data reports and annual progress reports with evaluation metrics to provide to senior leadership and funding agencies.
Utilizing in-depth knowledge will collaborate with ICTR leadership, faculty and study teams from varying schools within Johns Hopkins University, and partnering universities to develop; protocols, standard operating procedures, and to resolve project related issues.
Will be involved in scientific discussions with ICTR leadership, partnering universities, project teams, faculty, and funding organizations.
Manages the development of moderately complex to complex tracking database/spreadsheet. This will include ensuring quality data collection, and storage.
Utilizing comprehensive knowledge will analyze data and have significant participation in the drafting/writing of scientific manuscripts.
Coordinates and take meeting minutes for program meetings.
Works closely with Recruitment Innovation Unit (RIU) and collaborates on joint projects under the ICTR umbrella of research and community support.
Administers and ensures compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
Observes and assesses work; provides feedback; may provide technical supervision; develops knowledge, skills and abilities of staff, students, faculty and/or other clients; plans and supports employees in career development opportunities.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to work with a wide variety of audiences, including written communication.
Excellent organizational and project planning and management skills and attention to detail.
Partner in the creation of new collaborations and assist in grant proposal preparation, submission and set up and ensure all necessary documentation, guidelines, and protocols are followed.
Knowledge of scientific research design and methods, and ability to synthesize and interpret qualitative and statistical findings.
Experience with literature searches, academic writing and SPSS, SAS or STATA.
Develops and contributes to the design of consults that support COVID-19 research teams around community engagement and collaboration.

Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
Five (5) years related experience.
Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits (semester hours) may substitute for required experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Related Master’s degree preferred.
Experience in working in diverse community stakeholders and implementing community-based research methods.
Experience working in public health settings related to COVID-19 response.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working within research study team roles and familiarity with IRB submissions.
Experience managing collaboration platforms for group collaboration projects and document development.
Experience with social media platforms and gather data analytics.
Proficiency in Microsoft suites, collaboration platforms, and social media platforms.
