Essential Functions: Wayne State University Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to manage and lead the operation of the basic/translational research laboratory within the Basic Science Division. The successful candidate will report directly to the Principal Investigator and be expected to continually update them as to the progress of work.?Perform survival surgery in rodents?Perform postoperative animal monitoring?Conduct in-vivo physiology experiments in rodents?Maintain and operate laboratory equipment ?Other related research duties as assigned
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in physiology, biological science, or medical related field.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, self-motivation and self-learningAbility to work independently and as an integral part of a team?Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
