The Security Coordinator reports directly to the CPSO and operates with minimal supervision and will serve as the entry controller and validator for access to the secured facility. The Security Administrator will assist with administration of the SAPF/SCIF and will perform duties and assignments as directed by the CPSO. Duties will also include maintaining schedules of visitors and maintenance personnel, receiving and signing opening/closing the secured facility and escorting uncleared personnel inside secured spaces for the performance of their jobs. The security Administrator will answer phones and direct customer personnel as necessary within the facility.
In this position, the Security Administrator must promote transparency at all times, always act ethically, promote and ensure compliance.
-High School diploma or GED -Must have 4 years’ of related experience, such as, signing in and escorting visitors and personnel throughout a secured facility, managing facility schedules, processing deliveries, answering and directing calls, and managing events. -Must have current Top Secret/SCI clearance -Must be eligible for access to Special Access Program Information -Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
-Strong communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills. -Understanding of US Government National Policies, NISP, NISPOM, DoD Manuals, ICDs. -Experience with Security/Access Control Systems a plus.
Essential Functions and percent of time::
50% Serve as entry controller for SCIF/SAPF by validating visitors for access to facility. Manage daily interactions with visitors Escort uncleared contractors (e.g. Cleaners, maintenance personnel, installers) and when required and directed by CPSO Schedule maintenance and meetings within outlook calendar Enforce Security policy in and around facility Answer phones and direct customer personnel as necessary within the facility
20% Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries Open/close SAPF/SCIF within security policy Support visitor check-in for large conferences Other duties as assigned
15% Support large (~250 person) events through the application of access list and visitor registration. Organize and escort food vendors and cleaning personnel to ensure event attendees are properly cared for and attended to.
Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding. Work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and on-call when needed. Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to inspect work in cramped and awkward environments. Ability to work during inclement weather, and extreme temperatures.
